I made this same choice (minus Boston focus). Would def encourage you to choose based on cultural fit with the people you’ve spoken to. Booth and Tuck both have great reputations for getting people from all backgrounds into MBB, and neither will give you a Boston-specific edge. I personally chose Booth because I vibed better with the people I spoke to and for the long term brand and community (def a big factor to consider)
Booth has better name / recruiting than tuck but both will get you there, I would take the $ at tuck or at least see if booth will match (unlikely but worth a shot) - also depends on where you would rather be during your experience personally I would rather chose booth for the larger class size and city location taking all of that into account and how you feel on fit I would go from there. Would probably choose booth unless the $ was over half tuition

Think I’m going with booth, factoring my desired lifestyle for the next few years. I think either school will get me where I want to be.
I went to Tuck. McK, Bain, and BCG drive big trucks up to Raether Hall and fill up with Tuckies to send to Boston. Hell of a thing.
Both are solid - go where you get the most $ / feel the best fit
There’s little incremental benefit for one school vs another if MBB recruit on campus. You’ll very likely get the interviews if you take it seriously and then it’s all up to you. Tuck and Booth are both targets. And school brand really doesn’t matter down the road. You’re not going to get that next job after consulting because a manager saw HBS on your resume instead of, say, Darden. It’s all about your job performance.
Choose whichever school you feel is best fit for you. Personally I’d choose Tuck for the money and the close-knit environment (I didn’t go there just FYI).
Looking at the numbers, they place similarly to consulting (38% booth vs 42% tuck) with strong MBB obviously but the factor that I would look at is 25% of tuck ends up in Boston vs 3.5% of booth. Booth brand might be marginally better but getting to Boston might not be the easiest adventure from booth vs the standard destination from tuck

I think a lot of that is self selection. I don’t think it has much to do with Boston offices not wanting to hire booth people. More likely, booth people aren’t really recruiting for Boston
