Turning 30, which means early signs of ageing, and more disposable money than I ever had in my life. Any styling/grooming tips from fellow men?

If I were you I would get myself an expensive watch to celebrate a new chapter in my life.

32 here. A night cream or serum to put on every evening before you sleep will be invaluable. Apply liberally, and buy the most expensive one you can reasonably afford. Even some drugstore brands, like the Neutrogena Hydro Boost gel cream, are good and Kiehl’s and Ursa Major are amazing. Always always always use an aftershave moisturizer or balm, ideally with SPF. Using a toner and eye cream are good, too. Good supplements are CoQ10, Rhodiola (when worn out/tired/stressed), probiotics, vitamin D, SAM-e, and omega 3s. I use some of these supplements regularly in a couple of them occasionally… YMMV.

I know this these aren’t “grooming” recommendations, but stay active, eat well, and get good rest. All three can be challenging (especially as a consultant) but pay off heavily in how you’ll look years/decades from now.

Any good regimen benefits from a routine, but a skincare regimen can be complicated to perfect because everyone’s skin is different and will change over time. However, while you’re on that journey, I’d recommend you find someone good in each of the following categories:
Hair stylist: as you develop your relationship with them they’ll get to know your hair and what makes it look best. They also know what works best for your face shape. Depending on how fast your hair grows, you’ll need to see them every 2-5 weeks.
Dermatologist: helps you fix superficial skin problems with intensive treatments and can also provide fillers / Botox
Plastic surgeon: most people could look better, and a little nip tuck can go a long way to helping you look better. The lighter and minimal the surgery, the harder it is to do. The key to make it seem like you just look like a better version of yourself rather than a different person.
PS: if you’re hairy and don’t want to be, you can pay for facial threading to clean up your face and get laser hair removal for the rest of your body.

Kind of funny that everyone thinks it sounds scary, and it seems so normal to me.

FYI: almost every celebrity, model, Instagram person, etc. that looks “perfect” on Instagram has probably had all of those things done. Skincare models don’t actually wear the products... they spend thousands on facial treatments.

Happy birthday. I am turning 31

I can’t recommend specific products without knowing your skin type, however, all of these products are necessary for a comprehensive skincare routine: face wash, exfoliator, toner, day face serum, eye serum, moisturizer, sun block, evening face serum, face mask, eye mask. A couple of brands I swear by: Aesop, Dennis Gross, La Mer, Kiehl’s, Tom Ford, Shiseido, Tatcha.

Eat well, drink water and get some daily exercise in. Pretty simple.

Take care of your skin and teeth. Use your money for travel. No need to gather more stuff.

I have been looking at the curriculums for Harvard Business School's Master of Business Administration and Harvard Extension School's Master's in Management. They both have the same requirements, generally speaking, including a field immersion course that serves as a capstone in the Master's in Management, which is fairly new. If I am not able to gain admission to Harvard Business School, but wanted a similar educational experience to become a consultant, should I attend Harvard Extension?

I’m 90% certain my owners are selling our privately held financial services company. This is a family owned company and they have always been very generous and cared for their employees. I’m not sure whether I should start pursuing other opportunities and cash out my PTO or stay until the end and hope they want to still care for their employees once the acquisition is complete. Has anyone been in a similar situation and have any advice to offer?
