How do you ask (as a candidate) about salary without coming off as if you’re only in it for the money? I hate that salary ranges are not required in listings (good on NY for that). A guy who used to be on my team resigned a few weeks ago for another opportunity. Has anyone had success reducing or getting off stimulants? I been on vyvanse for 10 years and now at a pretty high dose (60mg). I feel fine when I take 60mg but my concern is if I don’t take that much I feel barely functional and I don’t want to go any higher in future years. Not taking on weekends basically requires me to just lay in bed all weekend.

What is the value in professional certifications? ACCA, CFA, CIPD, etc.

At what point does “ego” stop mattering? Over the past 5 years I’ve worked my way to being an Account Manager, but ultimately my career goal is to work for the government. There’s an opportunity to be an admin assistant working for the government, and would be a nice way for me to get in and move up. But the title change from Account Manager to Assistant is a big deterrent. Logically I know that it doesn’t matter, but emotionally it’s hard to feel like I am taking a major career step back?
