Benefits question for EY folks: I’m starting in two weeks and was looking at the Alex tool for health insurance options. Does neither the Select nor the Premier insurance options offer copays? The Alex tool makes it seem like you pay everything out of pocket until you hit your deductible ($1k or $600 respectively) and only after that is when copays/coinsurance kicks in?

That sucks. Fertility treatment is stressful enough, and a covid cancellation of cycle plus burner case is really hard.
Talk to your doctor about the schedule. How far ahead would you need to plan a cycle to book first appointment of the day? Aim for that.
Talk to a woman leader in your office or practice or team and get some honest advice about options for leave time, using vacation, or low stress staffing. Talk to your staffing manager if you can, too. You may need someone to help you get on a lighter stress project next.
When I went through fertility stuff I ended up telling my male leadership, “i have a series of gynecology appointments at 8am several days over then next week and need to start work at 9. Do you have any questions about the appointments? How can we make this work?” They were terrified of the word “gynecology” and had zero questions and told me to adjust my work as needed. I figured this scary-to-men word was accurate enough. 🤷🏻♀️😂
The upside of doing IVF now is that we’re not traveling so it’s easier to plan for the monitoring.
Please DM me! I did 3 rounds while at BCG as a PL and Principal. It can be done. Don’t leave, our fertility benefits are hard to match elsewhere...
Whats the change been? I'm curious
Sorry to hear that. I'm sure the COVID interruption was really hard.
When I did IVF, I told my case leadership (two cases, both male PLs). BOTH of them had done IVF previously, and both of them had requested and received flexibility and support from their cases when they did. Needless to say, they told me that they would support any flexibility I needed, and also made it known that I could come to them for support.
Make people aware of this. It's common at BCG and will really help you through the process
