Two offers. Is it best to choose the company that is most stable because it’s larger but lacks a clear product offering and entering a new sector or the company that is more in growth phase but has clearer product offering?

bases are off by 20k, haven’t countered yet. OTE sounds comparable but have more faith in the clearer product offering.

I'd take the bigger base in a heartbeat. 20k is such a crucial difference in salary; you'll be glad you have that as a safety net when times get tough.

It would depend, if you are concerned about the money, an stable company might be your best choice because they already have market awareness and will eventually catch up to innovations and products (hopefully). If you think the second offer has more potential with its clearer product offering, go for it, know that you will have to work harder but it will be more rewarding in the future.

Sell the product that addresses acute pain and the company that has customers who will articulate the proven, quantifiable value the product delivers.

Hey fishes, completed 3 tech rounds at Bosch.
Last tech + managerial round was on 10th Nov. Got HR call on 17th Nov. Told my expected package and she didn't seem to have any issue. On 22nd Nov, got a call from the consultant at taggd who has been arranging all my interviews. Told my expected CTC and she seemed a bit surprised but didn't negotiate and asked if I have any other offers? I asked when can I expected the OL, she said within a week but didn't take any documents. Can I expect the OL?

I got a call for a Java position. I told them I do not develop in Java. I do JavaScript with React. He says “oh yes, that is what the client wants”. So I sent my resume. When he sent the confirmation email it stated Angular/Java. I told him that I don’t have much Java skills. He then sent this (pic) as a response. 🤔🤔🤔
When I spoke to the client she had no idea why the recruiter added angular react as it was just a Java developer position, Completely wasted so much time

I have an offer at another consulting firm, but have been reached out by my target industry exit opp for a role with comparable salary + more benefits. How do you handle aggressive, hard-ass leadership?

I was on a group strategy call and our VP says "OK *account manager* (me), we have decided that your new focus needs to be electronics, do you understand that?" He said it in a very stern tone of voice. Well of course I understand it because it was my f*cking idea that I brought to his attention prior to Christmas.

IMO, this guy does nothing. He steals the ideas of his team members and then acts like tyrant in front of people.

I was getting out of the military, had no directly transferable work skills, and needed to make a living in an expensive city (San Diego). Started looking at my options and found that I could do menial labor for just above minimum wage OR I could learn to get people to buy things and make this wonderful thing called commission! Took a job in insurance sales and the rest is history! Been in sales for about 15 years now ❤️
