Went through the process directly with the company - now I’m competing with another person found by an exec search firm. Hi everyone! Brand new to this bowl… but I’m currently a 1L at a T6 school and I’m interested in going to a smaller city after graduation (e.g. Salt Lake City). I have a couple of questions: Can I expect a lower salary than an associate in an office like NYC or is pay standardized? Does it necessarily look worse on your resume to be in a smaller city? Is there a strong reason to prefer working with a firm like Kirkland in NYC vs. Salt Lake?
