Typical salary of a first year Financial Consultant at Charles Schwab? How scalable is it truly as I’ve heard a wide variety of income.

Usually a base of 60-70k with commission pushing you to 150k for first year. Once you get your feet under you total comp will be closer to 200k. If you are good and approach the upper echelon you can hit 300 plus

Not scalable, just take the avg of what you're hearing and negotiate 10% on top of that - I doubt market rates are going at the same pace as inflation for any role awt the moment so we're all grossly underpaid

With the current uncertainty and some layoffs in the industry would you still recommend asking for 10% on top of the average?

I am just wondering how time everyone has this that is I have done this before it works fine I a good truck pick out If I figure how figure out how to work pix from marketplace I would post it

Any thoughts on the first year of comp while you are getting your licenses? How do you negotiate with that in front of your position immediately after (obviously, same company). Accomplished in tech sales (SaaS)/ biz dev’t (20 years experience) & MBA. Looking to retire in this field in 25 years - preferably with the same company.

advice: asking for more money. currently making around $52k in an entry level position to my team. I know they’re considering me for a new opening coming in Q4, I’ve spoken with both my manager and VP about my career goals. I’m pretty sure that they’d fill this role anywhere in the mid 60s. if I were to get it, that’s a 10k pay bump for me, and I desperately need it. is that normal? I’ve never been in this situation b4 and want to make sure I get paid adequately but I’m young and have 0 insight.

I got an informal offer stating the salary range before they officially extend a written offer. I accepted over email and the recruiter said this:

Are you comfortable accepting at the (lowest part of the range) and everything else listed? Or would it need to be on the higher end of the range I suggested?

What the heck do I say while being polite??? Of course I would rather it be higher than the lowest part of the range!!

Hi All,
I have 3 offers in hand for Senior Automation Engineer. Please help me to choose which one is the best.

My manager has been making me do eligibility checks since I was hired about 1 year ago. I've been pushing for a raise and now I'm finding out that this was never on my list of duties in my job description. How can I use this to my advantage and not cause any bad will with my managers?

Can anyone help me understand if point 1 and point 2b make any sense ? Is there something wrong in the wordings ?
In my opinion without the 4 lakh bonus added to my account it doesn’t make sense to pay in full if I leave before Apr 2024

Any advice on negotiating for things other than salary with current employer? Most interested in a <40 hr work week (while still considered FTE), but also good to hear perspectives on negotiating for more PTO, benefits, 401k match, bonus, etc. How do I turn the conversation to this from annual raise discussion? Should I address with my line manager or HR? What are fair trade-offs for salary $s?
For context, annual reviews are coming up, but company has been clear budget for salary raises is low.

Should I negotiate for an entry level software engineering position if I have no prior internships/SWE job experience?

I haven't gotten an official written offer yet, but after giving a salary range of what I'm looking for, the recruiter said that the typical salary is about 5-10k higher than what I said, so I'm not sure if I should even negotiate if the average salary is already higher than what I said I'm looking for. Any advice and tips would be appreciated. Thanks!

Can someone please share exact cut-off date to be eligible for a default hike and bonus for this year in Morgan Stanley?
Some people say it's before 1 September and some say before 1 October.
Can someone please check with any colleague or HR and confirm the same?

It will help me decide whether to join MS or not. My date of joining is mid September.
Thanks in advance!

Hi all. The org i work for pays commissions quarterly, 2 months after the end of the Q. I am currently interviewing for a role that i like, but i am also having one of my best quarters and expect to close 500% of target. If I quit right after the Q ends but before the payday, I am worried I will not be paid fairly. I may be capped or something else. What do you think I need to do? I feel that I will need to reject an opportunity i like because of this paycheck.

Is anyone else finding it difficult to get a raise this year because of market conditions? Currently a Wealth Advisor for Citi but I honestly hate it here with a passion it’s the worst company I’ve ever worked for in my life and I’ve been in Wealth Management in the banking channel for over a decade. Series 7, Series 63, Life, CFP, ChFC, and soon to have my MBA with a focus in Mergers & Acquisitions. I’m look to enter another area of Finance at this point instead of starting over somewhere else from scratch, but not sure what direction to go. Interested in Investment Banking or M&A.

Curious what’s a fair salary in MA? Was just told that there is likely not going to be a chance for a raise during my upcoming performance review due to my salary already being “above average for the industry” based on my employer’s questionable research. I’ve been with the company 8.5 years & am the only one in my role, which they can’t operate without. I execute tasks from two investment advisors and two financial planners - they make the decisions of what should happen & I make it happen.

Anyone here a Client Onboarding Associate for an RIA? We have YE reviews coming up soon.
