Uber driver rated me a 1/2 stars because I made him wait for less than 2 mins 😑

I mean you might’ve also been a dick considering you called him a cholo

The de-evolution of the quality of service when uber started into just a taxi with a great app was extremely predictable but it’s gone much quicker than I expected.

This all feels very Black Mirror. Remind me why we care about uber ratings? 😂

PSA - you can find out roughly how many rides you have taken on Uber indirectly, by paying attention to: 1. How many suspected 5-star ratings it takes to move up your score by 0.01, 2. How much your score drops on a suspected 1 rating Once you have the rough number of trips you’ve taken, all it is is a math calc to figure out how each marginal score would affect your rating and guess (fairly accurately) what someone rated you based on your score’s change

OP, I know you work for Deloitte, but please try to get a life. Who gives a fcuk about this shit anyway (esp. when you’re already at 4.85 stars)?

Their interval is 1 star. Are you saying he gave you either 1 or 2 stars? Otherwise if he really did say one-half star he’s full of shit

Uber ETA was 6 mins and he got there in 2, I needed to grab some papers/put on shoes, come outside. Literally 1-2 mins. He looked annoyed, didn’t offer to help with luggage, and generally had a persona of a ‘cholo.’ Quiet, short ride, aside from him listening to Mexican music. Gave him 3 stars back for being a dick.

So basically, even though the meter starts at 2 min he was unhappy with you? That's just awful. No tip for sure.

OP, pls don’t let this annoy you. I used to request the driver to turn down the music so I could take take work calls. My rating plummeted to 4.7 in a month

How’d you know?

These rating don't matter, but if you feel unfair. Call Uber, I think they can check if he does it often for fun

Lol I seriously doubt Uber cares. I’m generally nice and have a good score (had 4.85 after 250+ trips, even despite sometimes getting Uber for team/drunk people). It’s just annoying to occasionally drop in score Bc of dicks who are slightly annoyed and give a 1 instead of a 4

If uber rating is how you evaluate your self worth, you have bigger things to worry about Stop whining. Get on with your life.

I hate when they do that

He gave me 1 or 2. Based on the change in my score, I know what it would take to move it - just not sure if it was 1 or a 2

I’m flying to client city on Sunday cause I got early Monday workshops 😭 I can complain to fellow consultants about our first world problems to pass the time without you getting on here (on a Sunday afternoon) just to tell others to ‘get a life’ 😂 It’s no longer have 4.85 - it’s dropping Bc of this type of shit

EY2 read the thread. Can’t say a word on here without one of you projecting your insecurities. Had an explicit ‘this is why you care’ post

Looks like a massive Exodus happened in Deloitte? Trying to staff a project and there is literally no one to staff with (at least Salesforce practice) and we are having to reach out to contractors. Is this a result of layoffs that happened last year and folks are purely unhappy with pay (not considering project pressure as that can vary/be subjective)? For folks who have been here for a long time, is this a common occurrence or is it especially bad this time around?

I am noticing that McKinsey is increasingly recruiting at non-elite schools (very roughly speaking not top 15 schools). At my old undergrad, 5 years ago the most competitive firm to show up was EY. This year McKinsey took 4 non-internship full hires. Why is McKinsey going “down market” for recruiting? Are elite school kids losing interest in consulting so McK has to cast a wider net? Or is McK seeking a wider pool for other reasons? I advise undergrads on consulting so want to be best informed.

Pwc fishes, care to comment?

How do people afford 20% down on homes above 500K? Outside of inheriting cash, curious how late 20s early 30s folks find themselves with 100K plus in cash?

Quick Poll of 401k matching. I’ll start Deloitte .25 of first 6%

How to lose 15lbs in 3 weeks? Can it be done?? Currently 193...anyone got tips/tricks? Lol

Just got a job offer from PWC! 😁But for some reason, the offer letter is addressed to Emma Stone?

So with Bain, McKinsey and even now BCG (I’m hearing) vying to acquire ZS, what are the implications for us as ZSers? Top of the food chaining I’m thinking...

3 questions - how old are you? How much are you making yearly (including bonus)? How much cash/liquid saving do you have?

I feel diversity and social impact won’t be taken seriously by colleagues until we actually include those in performance evaluations. Not if this person show cultural dexterity on a project but participated in internal/external D&I programs. Thoughts?

Consultants/Managers/Partners aged 30+ what did you wish you did more or less of in your 20s?

When you date someone and she asks your TC, do you include in-flight target bonus, indicated on the offer letter? Or you only report base?

Just a helpful flowchart.

The exit sign on my United flight came off and hit me in the head/neck. 😢 Has this happened to anyone? Happy fly day, folks!

Decided to leave D for 8k salary bump as money matters a lot to me (I’m from a very poor family). I got early promoted this year and the partner likes me a lot. Am I making the smart move?

In an alternate universe, we’d all be at the airport lounge drinking our weekly stress away while eagerly waiting to go home. Life is good. Unless you’re flying United - you’re minutes away from being told your flight is delayed because there is one cloud in the sky.

Why are the people bitching about only getting $600 the same people who want to continue to pay more taxes?
