@K1 you must be the funnest at parties and loved by everyone. BS to your claim. I flew out of ATL once. Got to checki-in (jist started work travel at that point) with 2.5 hrs to spare. Line was so slow I literally just caught my flight before left the tarmac. Would you hold me accountable for that?

Honestly, take some time to grab a drink (not necessarily alcoholic, my relaxing drink is a smoothie) or some good food and tackle some work. It isn't ideal but for all you know you missing out on sitting next to some fat smelly guy with a Grateful Dead t-shirt and a f*ck you hat and in front of a family of two screaming infants and a toddler who thinks the back of your seat equates to a drumset, no parents. Maybe you dodged a bullet.

Everything happens for a reason, just keep swimming 👍 🐠

Lack of planning on your part to have enough time doesn’t mean it’s your uber drivers fault you missed a flight.....

likefunnysmart

@Kpmg 1... REALLY!!! nobody wants to spend 30 extra mins in an airport on a Sunday. #BeKind or #BeSilent

likefunny

Kpmg1 is that annoying manager. God bless your team who will put up with you 😂😂😂

Getting to the airport on time is no one else’s responsibility but your own. And if 20 minutes of traffic makes you miss your flight, you’re just cutting it short and you have yourself to blame

likesmart

If you never miss a flight, you're spending too much time in the airport.

likefunnysmart

@k1 i accounted for the 20 minutes of traffic, not the 20 minutes of trying to get back in the right direction

And ive been travelling this exact same route for 9 months or so now

Worst part about this was that the driver is uber VIP

like

I have absolutely missed flights due to Uber drivers. A missed turn worth 20 actual minutes driving time can easily snowball into hitting more traffic, longer lines at check in, random things you can't account for, etc. Let it out OP, venting is therapeutic as hell.

One time an Uber driver went the wrong way, cost me 20 minutes of literally turn around and go this way driving. We then ran into a small fender bender on the highway which cost us another 15-20 minutes. When we got to the airport I'm not exaggerating the drug sniffing dog freaked the f*ck out and tried attacking the handler which turned into a 25 minute ordeal to which I had a front seat. If I had gotten there 2 minutes earlier I would have watched from the other side of security. Am I just supposed to plan for all this crap and leave an extra hour earlier?

Don't listen to these people. Time sitting at the airport is a waste. If you take the same route for a long time it's even harder to imagine it'll take longer than normal. I hate the negativity around here sometimes.

It's only 240 central. I hope you're in Europe if you already missed your flight.

Did you not check the traffic more than 20 minutes before you left?

@TC1: I call BS on your 2.5 hr wait in security line. Don't exaggerate too much. 1 -1.25 hr quite possible on busiest of monday mornings. 2.5 ...nah.

I spent 3 hours in security at SEA once... whereas typically I’ve spent approx 20 mins in security in my home airport and all clients. Anyone who says you should account for this is out of their mind

likefunny

@k1 not when i get a 20min delay + traffic

@a1 had a connection, rip

Straight up watched the door close after they held it open longer than they should have.

@tc1 idk, I need to chill out for a sec

like

@OP if you are an Uber regular and havent complained much, im pretty confident you will get refunded. Just trying to make the day brighter.

You fly out of Atlanta and don’t have Clear ??? Seriously are you a rookie ?

@EY1 flown out of ATL many times. It did happen once. Spent almost 2 hrs in line. I lucked out bc security wasnt all that bad.

so people on here make it sound like M&A Tax is hiring like crazy, even people with compliance experience only. This does not seem to be the case. Neither recruiters nor partners in M&A and transactions want someone who doesn't have modeling experience. I reached out to 2 big4 firms and was told by friends etc that it's a real stretch for that to happen.

The interview went pretty well as the positions were entry level only.
I haven't resigned yet as I don't have anything in hand, but want to leave soon.

How do folks write their resumes coming out of consulting - would you list current role along with previous roles for the same company (e.g., associate 2017-2019, sr associate 2019-2021 etc). Also how do y’all think about listing experiences - do you do a short blurb that’s blinded (e.g., redesigned XYZ to deliver $XX savings for a F10 client)? Are there other ways to do this better? Apologies for what might be a dumb question!
