Ugh applied for DS/DA role and got a bunch of interviews for DE/ BA, resume problem?

Trying to help a new momma find a flexible remote position as a marketing manager , she has great experience, smart and a hard worker. Associate-Mid level position in the North Carolina area.

I am a new APMM, and the youngest at my company (25<). I am doing a fair amount of training involving reporting on our organic KPI’s, and producing lead generating content; however, I want to take some serious contd. education/certifications to level up my skills past what I am doing to position myself as a product leader in the workforce. My goal is to be a key figure in the product industry as this is what I geared my degree towards! I am a PMA slack member but not a paid one. Any suggestions?

If you speak with an independent recruiter, but then the hiring agency recruiter reaches out to you on their own, should you tell the independent recruiter?

I had my two or three interviews, got an offer for a role at an university, I accepted and am “ hired” . But they’re still checking references . Does that make sense ? I got a update that one of my references did not work out. I provided two other references that I don’t know if they’ll give great reviews due to them being petty. Is it a high chance that they can take the offer away if I don’t meet the requirements for my references ?

Looking for advice: current senior associate at a mid-size firm and was just offered a role as "counsel" in big law. Salary for the new position is not on the lockstep scale (and, in fact, significantly below where I would fall if I was placed on the lockstep scale). Take it or no?

Leaving PwC to enter a firm’s data integration and migration practice as a supervisor. I have been bored of audit and wanted something new. My mentor at the firm will be training, but 2 questions.

1. How hard is it to start at fresh in the data field when you have no experience.

2. How is the field looking like in the future?

Are there analytics consulting firms still hiring that work on longer term projects (i.e. 3-6 months)? I'm working in deal analytics and while I actually like consulting, I'm tired of constantly working on diligence projects, having 0 WLB, or being able to think deeply about problems my client has. I don't mind traveling, but would appreciate a firm that has some flexibility on where my home base is.
