Ugh. I went on vacation last week for meeting my boyfriend’s family for the 1st time/his sister’s wedding. I’ve been trying to lose quarantine weight for the past 5 months ahead of this trip (healthier eating, working out 5-6x a day, calorie deficit). I was getting back to my old physique pre covid. But during this trip I just ate everything without thinking twice. Especially when his family would offer food cause I didn’t want to be rude. Now I feel back to square 1. Continued below..

We work out, keep on top of our health and try to make good choices TO ENABLE US to let loose and enjoy food/fam/friend/culture/travel indulgence from time to time

Eat the damn thing. Always. Enjoy and savor. Then the next day make a few thoughtful choices so you know you’re still steering the ship

If you eat super healthy for a week, do you make all the progress you could possibly want? No! Eating unhealthy for one week will not totally derail you from your goals unless you let it. Start eating healthy and working out again! You got this!

Don’t think of this as dieting trying to get somewhere specific. It will continue to be a lifestyle change and there will be bumps! We all indulge, it’s not the end of the world and you got this ❤️

So you were feeding your body with proper nutrients and fuel and exercising for months...that doesn’t go away. Think of how your body benefitted during that time. It’s a lifestyle not a number on a scale. Shift your mindset a bit. Take care of you and have some compassion for yourself.

You were on vacation! Don’t beat yourself up. It’s a time to relax and do the things you wouldn’t normally do. Does that mean you should go completely off track? Probably not, but you can always jump back on track. Plus, im sure this vacation reduced your stress levels which can help make losing weight easier!

Stop blaming yourself and ck into Wegovy. Just approved for weight loss by regulating your digestive hormones. It’s been prescribed for years under the name of Ozempic but now FDA approved for weight loss. Hope this helps.

How much stock do you put on benefits? I have two offers with stark differences in benefits. Job 1: role I want, but benefit sucks (2 weeks paternity leave, 20% coinsurance). Job 2: role is okay but higher level and great benefits (16 weeks paternity, 0% coinsurance, 5 more days of vacation). Total comp is the same though. I wonder if I should just focus on role but Job 2 is a large company, so I can move around after 2-3 years I’d expect. Thoughts?

Does anyone have advice/ experience with disclosing or advocating for your ADHD support needs in highly toxic environments? Or getting formal disability accommodations?

I’m on a VERY toxic project where I really need accommodations but I am scared there will be repercussions if I personally disclose my ADHD like I have on past projects.

I submitted an HR request for accommodations and it’s been ignored for over a week.

I really can’t take another week of spending every day crying.
