Do you typically share your salary or salary expectations with recruiters on the first interview? I’ve had instances where the interviewer flat out tell me the range of salary band via email even prior to initial interview. I think this is a great way to set expectations from the get go and will save both parties time - but some companies like to play the “game” and get you to share numbers first, which I find very annoying. What have your experiences been with salary expectations?

I know I am underpaid, but my leaders are forcing me to work on multiple projects, for which I am getting anxiety even before working or denying.
What is the solution? Provided I don't want to switch & increase salary just to provide more tax to govt or the work may increase more too.
I need 100% job stability, which only PwC can provide.

I’m going crazy in Audit, I’m an A2. I think I’m going to try and transition to consulting. Would it be smarter to stay within the firm or go to a new one, and is there a half-step I should take (such as going to TAS for a year or so) before going into consulting? I just want more exposure to companies I work on than just the audit, it doesn’t feel like stuff I’ll be using in 5 years (but I’d be happy to be proven wrong on that). Business strategy/biz dev is catching my interest recently.

I am currently in a logistics sales position at my company. I’ve thrived in a position very similar to this previously. But my direct boss wants us to take a more email based approach when first gaining contact with a prospect. I heard that internal candidates have much lower salary ranges for promotions / transferring teams. So much so that some people will leave the company a year just to come back to a more competitive offer.

I am in the running for a 2 band level promotion - if / when it gets to salary discussions, should I still try to negotiate? What are peoples thoughts? I would be going from an entry level role for 1 year to a senior role, but I still want a fair compensation compared to other hires.
