Ugh I’m overwhelmed by the referral process - if I’m applying to 10 jobs a day, how do I keep track and get that many referrals? What if I apply to multiple jobs at the same company - does someone have to refer me for all 3 positions or does it stay with my resume for each one?

Hi, ladies. How long has it taken you to find a new job?

I’m currently on the hunt for a new job and I’m feeling really utterly defeated. Over the past year I’ve probably applied to at least 100 jobs and I’ve been on 8 different interviews all with no offer. I’m not sure if I’m doing anything wrong or if there is more being done behind the scenes that have nothing to do with me. Either way, I’m getting frustrated and my productivity in my current position is slacking as a result.

I've been working as a salesforce developer for 2 years now and thinking of switching to a PMO role. Is there good career growth? Are PMO's in demand? What do they do exactly? Would the experience be helpful to become a program manager in consulting or Tech post MBA?

What does it take to switch into a Sale Engineer role? I started my career in tech consulting and then switched to solutions engineering, but not at all on the Sales side of things. I remember working sales when I was in highschool and I loved the rewarding feeling of landing a customer. I'd love to someday switch back into it, since I find myself loving tech but not really the best at it.

I got an offer that I would love to take, it is a jump for me role wise (Tech Program Manager) at a big company . But that requires move to Seattle from Midwest. I'm a class of 2019 corporate/ecvc associate at a NY based EC/VC boutique. Just had my annual review: next year I'll be paid $175k/yr, with $10k bonus for hitting 1,600 hrs. 10% bonus on originated fees. Hours are definitely less than biglaw and the partners are nice to work with, but can't stop thinking about how I'd make almost double (albeit pretax) at a biglaw. Or should I just be happy that the tech downturn didn't bite my ass?
