Layoffs. Most big firms say they're sitting on a conservative pile of cash - which I believe is true - but work will obviously not return to pre-COVID levels in the short term, probably not even in the medium term. Are Biglaw layoffs coming?

Was at dinner with my mom yesterday and we got into an argument about me not wanting to tell her how much my salary is. I had no problem telling my parents right out of college but just feel kind of weird about it as I progress in my career. She said I am getting a big head and I replied that the exact reason I don’t want to tell her how much I make is because I don’t want to brag/ have a big head. I hate it when I hear an AD say they "can't draw." No one is expecting a work of art, just a shitty sketch that illustrates the idea.

The lack of honesty in this industry saddens me. Dear CDs and ECDs, if you're gonna put work in your book that you barely touched/had nothing to do with, at least credit those who came up with it.
