Thanks all. I'm not thrilled with the hospital she is at. I had to go through a hospitalization before for a puppy, and I was kept up to date twice a day and could call anytime for updates. I called once this morning and they said they would call me back. They didn't. I had arrange for a dental specialist to contact the hospital, and the specialist got a comprehensive update. I finally called. They haven't even taken xrays yet.
Basically I'm trying to arrange for her to be transported tomorrow morning to the dental specialist for surgery. Until we have xrays, they won't know what the surgery will be or what the recovery will look like.

Final update. I'm so happy with the dental surgeon we found. The piece of jaw that broke is actually mostly teeth - very little jaw bone. Originally, the plan was to wire the jaw back together, wire and cast it shut, and see if it could heal. Recovery would be 6-12 weeks with the jaw wired shut. However, the only real purpose would be to save the canine tooth. The surgeon said that the canine is fractured and may not be salvageable. So it would be less traumatic for her to just remove the piece of jaw and suture it up.
Recovery will only be two weeks. It will be much less traumatic for her and much less painful. She won't have a canine, so her tongue will flop out. But she'll be able to eat right away.
I'll get to see her tonight!
