How much discomfort/inconvenience am I supposed to endure for work travel?
I’m being asked to travel from CA to NY for a trade show. Flight options are either overnight or amount to 18+ hours of travel. Plus, I’m a bigger guy and sitting in an airline seat for 6 hours is miserable. I was hired without any pre-defined travel expectations/requirements.

I am working in a boutique consulting firm and have applied for the Associate - PIPE position (McKinsey - London) Recruiter has scheduled a call with me next week. Seems like a screening call. Yet to apply for BCG and Bain.

Can someone from each firm shed some light on below:

1 - Work life balance in PEG and PIPE
2 - Pay
3 - I know Bain is strong but I think Mck and BCG are equally good or they are not?
4 - Can I become generalist in case I feel burn out after some time?

Folks making more than £100K: How do you deal with the 60% effective tax rate on the 100-125K bracket? (HMRC gradually reduces your £12,750 personal tax-free allowance to £0.)

This is the first time it is happening to me. With one month to go until the end of the tax year, I'm thinking of making a one-off extra pension contribution next payroll.
