Any benefits to R1 vs R2 Consortium?

23 and have maxed out 401k, Roth IRA, HSA both years so far. Pretty conflicted on this, everyone says this is a must but how do I even know I will live past 60. I much rather save money I can use to retire early than fund my post retirement years where I may not even have the aptitude or health to go on adventures and live free... Can someone explain?

I am a Cyber Security Analyst. I started in this position a year and a half ago with no experience so I accepted the first salary offer I got at 64k. Now that I have experience and am exceeding expectations and doing a lot of tasks outside of my role I asked the CISO, my direct boss, for a raise to 90k based off what I was researching. He agreed but when putting in my raise, the CTO denied it. The CISO stated he could get it through HR but it would take 3-4 months. Should I wait?
