I asked my manager this morning that I wanted to change teams. Moving from sales to recruitment. I just started 2 months ago but I realized sales is not for me. My manager suggested that he’ll discuss this internally. However, I noticed they just posted for another role for sales right after my discussion with my manager. Can I be let go from company over this? Especially if the recruiting team decides not to have me on their team.

Need advice & perspectives: I got a verbal review from my manager saying he couldn’t see me as senior cuz I didn’t follow the design doc format he mandates from all designers. While I have been the only designer who does almost everything from design, UI asset creation, wiring up UI in Unity (I am in mobile gaming).
Also the product I’m on has been in MVP stage, things move extremely fast and design decisions changed constantly. He’s not on my team.
Am I crazy for thinking him a bad manager?

I've always considered my current job temporary, I needed something and all I could get after graduating into the pandemic hiring stalemate was at a small company in my home town doing a job that isn't quite my specialty. My lease is up here in October and I want to leave the area. When is the best time to tell my bosses I'm planning on leaving?
