Under what scenario would you take consultant/associate role at MBB over manager role at Tier 2 firm out of business school?

My highest role was a Director of Business Operations(85k), but I am looking to get into sales just want a higher income for my family. Any advice so I do not start at the bottom? Looking to start yesterday.
