When you track your travel expenses, do you include booked (and paid) travel for NEXT year as a current year expense or a next-year expense? I have separate excel workbooks for 2021 and 2022 but am curious what the norm is!
When you actually get done with work at a reasonable hour on your travel day, decide to get some sleep and go to bed by 10:30pm... To just wake up at ~1:30am 😒
Iam thinking off paying off my unsecured personal loan to a credit card that offers 0% balance transfer and low balance transfer fee. Has anyone done that? Fish fam, pls recommend
That time when Delta had to re-park the plane to get closer to the gate and I almost missed my connecting flight. Happy ending but come on, Delta! 😡
So I plan to prepare treats this Halloween for the kids in my neighborhood. What kind of treats do I get to minimize dental damage? Putting in fruits, nuts, or apple chips would feel like I tricked them and ruined the treat, no? Do I just put in regular candy but add in a small travel size Crest toothpaste (like they do at the dentist) and pray that their parents taught them to brush regularly? My conscience is torn. Please help.
There is a special place in hell for people who open the window blinds on a 5:00am flight.
Alright 🐟 🐠 fam, we’re at the halfway point in the year 📆. Post your miles / status for next year. Me: 55k MQM (didn’t travel much the first three months) but now staffed in SF and based in NYC
I was saving up my PTO to plan a trip to home country in December. Now the immigration team has started an immigration case so I cannot travel in December. I know as per policy I can only carry forward 10 days of PTO. Is it worth to try to get an exception? I know policies like these are non-negotiable. Has anyone ever tried anything like this and got a positive result?
Can anyone provide feedback on how to get a cheap / great prices for a rental car this weekend?
Any way to quickly get to Silver Medallion status on Delta if I’ve used a status match within the past 3 years? Can I buy MQMs?
What does your retirement budget look like? Assuming no debt. What is your expected basic minimum expenditures (core life)? And what are you budgeting for fun and luxury? My basic is around 10k a month for taxes and food and transport and utilities. Luxury and fun is another ten. Big expense in basic is property tax. Big expenditure in fun is travel. I think my basic budget is too high and I could bring it down and be very happy in a smaller home and less restaurants.
If I make my home look like a W hotel, will it be an easier transition between home and the road??? Lol

Traveling internationally soon, long flight and want to see how can I get upgraded to business class. Do not have any status or miles. Upgrade is costing about $3k, but I can afford to pat a few hundred $$ only. How can I get upgraded? Any tips or tricks?
Currently in a rotational program at EY (first year out of undergrad). Got placed on a long term risk project and wondering if it’s worth it staying long term. Currently interviewing for the strategy team at a legacy payments company (think visa or Mastercard) and wondering if it’ll stifle growth doing internal consulting. Would definitely appreciate any insights on this as I’m not too sure who who talk to and ask. Thanks!
Well the good news is that my manager said it would be done by Monday morning to the client. The bad news is that he sent that email to the client at 7pm Friday and never texted me. Wait both are bad.
When you're the only girl on the team and the rest of the team votes Hooters for Friday lunch and your waitress ends up being 7 months pregnant ... Lololol 😂😂 #jokesonyouguys

Wanted to get thoughts on if there was a service line in the Big 4 world that has a work/life balance that doesn't exceed 45 hours of work per week? Or is that blasphemy?
I’m starting to feel very flat about my job. Part of its burnout, but I’m realizing the other part is that I’m just not fulfilled by what I do. I just switched teams and have a great and supportive career manager, but my day-to-day client work is soul sucking. I’ve found myself feeling cynical about things. Not sure where to go or how to look. I’m 26, have advanced relatively quickly, but don’t want to start at the bottom again. Any tips on getting started?
Stay or go ? I'm at an early stage tech start up and gaining experience in an industry that I like. However, I am getting no formal training or sales coaching. Everything I've done so far (Inc. Targeted marketing and prospecting) has been self taught and I feel like I am lacking professional knowledge if I was to move onto a different company, especially considering that I am not involved in the full sales cycle.

Have any of you quit to take a break - 3 month or a 6 month sabbatical to pursue other interests or just to clear your head and figure out what’s next. How easy was it to find a job after the break and how did you manage your health insurance? Any other things to keep in mind when considering a sabbatical beyond money?
