Manhattan Real Estate - How do you justify buying with rent prices this low ? 2/2’s renting for 4500 but buying the same unit would run out about 7500-8000 a month. With the massive opportunity cost, mansion tax, etc it seems like a waste. I think there is more doom to come with NYC too. It emptied out and there are evictions pending. Units still being built, talk of converting commercial space to residential. More inventory. Doesn’t add up to me.
