Anyone else issued their Deloitte phone at time of termination have issues upgrading phones later? AT&T is saying they can’t unlock my phone because it’s leased by Deloitte and still has a balance owed on the device? I’m laughing but also what? I haven’t worked there in a year. Also the wait time at 1800 Deloitte is like 3 hours.

If you want to remain in SoCal and have access to entertainment, LA start-up, and local F500 set, is good. You can't deny the power of the USC mafia. If you want access to IB, Silicon Valley, etc will be tougher.
Why not UCLA Anderson?
Go cross town to Anderson,
I'd aim a bit higher than Marshall TBH
EY1, your logic is why we work at big 4 and not MBB
@EY1 I think the difference is at undergrad vs grad. Undergrad USC has been ranked neck and neck with UCLA, and a sliver (few spots) off Berkeley. Big 4 recruit like crazy there, and MBB (especially Bain and BCG) take a handful (~15 offers?) too. But again, all at undergrad level. At the grad level Marshall still has some ways to go, and I'd take Haas or Anderson over Marshall.
EY1, I went to a non-target that Deloitte doesn't even recruit at for 'consulting'. The amount of effort it took to get into Deloitte was just ridiculous. If I had gone to a school like UVA and put in the same effort I did to get into Deloitte, I would've been working at a PE fund right now. I get judged based on school name before anything else then have to prove myself. That's why I think going to the better school opens more doors
Go for it. It's a great school. Plus, smart business execs know ivy leagues are a waste of money and you're not really learning anything special.
EY1, Big four is a lesser brand than MBB, and USC is a lesser brand than UCLA and UC Berkeley. I'm applying to MBA programs right now and mainly focusing on the top 11 programs. If OP can't get into even ONE of the top 10-11 programs, then I understand going to USC if he/she loves SoCal.
Otherwise you have to be stupid as hell to spend 150k on a MBA that doesn't even have brand value or open up doors for you
Interesting. I went to a public state school (top engineering school tho) and never had any issues with school "branding." But I guess it's different for everyone. Also true undergrad vs grad difference so EY4 I get your point. Just think if you have a good marks and experience and those b schools are all still excellent, not sure why you'd have any issues. I haven't seen this ACTUALLY interfere with anyone's success but I guess it's true then
Thanks guys, lots of great info. Looks like Devry it is
Also the debt. $80k in tuition /yr?
What M1 said. You're not gonna find too many pre-MBA consultants at Marshall either, they usually aim for higher schools
Lol EY1 so spend more money at USC for a lesser brand? Solid logic
Yep, bc the grass isn't greener 🙃
And it's not a lesser brand these days is my point
It's great for the SoCal/LA network. It's pricey but they also are more likely to sponsor you. Went there for undergrad and loved it
Good for you. It's not a big deal, I'm an SC fan and was just playing around. It's not stupid as hell, there's plenty of people more successful than MBB who went to USC and other non top 11 schools. My point is the school is what you make of it, you don't have to go to a top program to be successful.
And as for USC being lesser brand than UCLA? Idk about that.
