As a minority and a woman working at the corporate level, I constantly feel the challenge to feel more apologetic whenever I “put my foot down” compared to my male counterparts. I know I shouldn’t have to, but I always feel like “putting my foot down” will make me appear like I’m not a team player. What I mean by putting my foot down, is being proactive, stern, and being equally assertive as my male counterparts in the same professional manner. Any advice or thoughts?

Burden of non performing Cons, burden of US counterpart as even SMs from USI are afraid to say NO to M sitting in US,leading and what not. Bringing down pay gap at same level is OK but what about deliverable gap?
