I heard like deloitte is taking employees with their skillset.
Once they are joined into the company, they are not providing projects into their skillset and swapping into different skillset.
I heard from many existing employees.
In that case, it's deviating to career.

Does anyone that would be considered an addition to diversity at a firm (gender, race, sexual orientation) dislike the diversity initiative standards of forcing a desired outcome regardless of applications and candidate quality? It seems unfair to qualified candidates to feel like maybe they got a job because of that initiative and not because of their quality as a candidate.

Anybody knows about Bosch account in Nous infosystems or T-Mobile client in Prokarma.

How much should I charge as an hourly or daily rate as a Senior/Lead Product Designer? 5+ years experience.

I’m not convinced that contracting on 1099 is better than W2, since you pay 15% extra self employment tax.

If you have one 1099 gig you can claim all your expenses for the year against that and then go W2 for the rest. Am I missing something?

I’m changing from an hourly rate to per-project structure. For clients who insist on hourly, my rate will be higher. I work directly with clients (no agencies) and they’ve all been with me 2-7 years. In that time I’ve never increased my rate. It’s time but I’m still nervous!

Anyone else here find that their tolerance for bs has gone waaaay down since they started freelancing? I know comparatively it was much, much worse when I was full-time but now the most minor inconvenience comes along and I’m like welp, time to leave and go to a new gig 😂. I always leave on good terms but I just reaaaaally don’t see a reason to suffer if I don’t have to.
