Any tips on how to start and prepare my MBA Application? I don’t plan on applying till 2022 as I want to attend in 2023. What are things I can do to prepare now in order to have a strong application? Background: I’m aiming for HSW, M7, and top 15. I’m currently a Staff at EY within Business Consulting. I graduated from a Top 25 Business Undergrad - majoring in Finance and minor in Advertising with a 3.71 GPA. I want to pivot towards PM or Corporate Strategy in Tech, at Toyota, or Nike. TIA!

I think Darden gets more spect
Same goes for tech firms in the area
Currently at one of those programs. Pivoting to T2. Feel free to DM.
Doesn’t UVA focus on case-based learning too? I’d go with UVA - it’s more highly regarded by a decent bit and likely has a stronger network in FAANG. While both have strong ties in the DMV, I’d also wager UVA has a little more geographic diversity with its alumni network too - that could be helpful if you’re trying to move to FAANG (aside from maybe Amazon).
Sounds like you’re leaning to GT. Neither path is wrong so why not pick the one you’re most excited about? With a background in tech you likely won’t need to lean on networking as heavily to work where you’d like.

Is this Darden full time
Both part time. UVA would be in rosslyn (2 floors in a building over the 3 years) with 2 week-long residencies in Charlottesville.
Georgetown MBA isn’t a target by any means for MBB I believe. Maybe 1-2 people a year out of full-time. Highly recommend Darden. PT program isn’t a target for Darden either but you may be able to get into the full-time recruiting events
Really good to know. Appreciate the help! Part time students are given full access for both schools, but it will be easier to attend those events at georgetown since I’d be in the area versus traveling down to Charlottesville. Seems like Darden is the safer bet, however, whether it’s consulting, tech or general management from what I’ve read up on and heard here.
Hi I am in enrolled in one of the programs please feel free to message me!
