Given all the recent buzz about expected large raises around the big 4, I’d like to level set on the average salary for a 4th/5th year female senior manager in federal tax ( credits & methods group) in the Midwest - Chicago/Minneapolis/Detroit market. Anyone willing to share a range if they work in a similar area of tax / similar level? I recognize all groups vary greatly in salary expectations, so looking for input specific to my area. Current expectations set at 140-160k. Reasonable?
Anyone know NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF) well & willing to zoom tutor for an hour? Would like to hear about it in a practical sense, big 4 or similar preferred. Will venmo $125 💵☺️
Currently a Senior Consultant in a B4-level firm and having a hard time finding roles that I’m qualified for that make more than what I already make. How are you all finding these great exits? I have a business background - do I need to learn to code to get exits that pay?

I’m wondering what Accenture is actually doing. Is it more like a Big 4 Firm, doing theoretical consulting things. Or is it more a IT-Service/ Outsourcing company like Connection, Atos, Bechtle, etc. doing hands on technical things? Where is the main focus on?
If I took a part time MBA program, can I still campus recruit for a summer role at MBB, Big 4, FAANG, etc?
Big 4. Last year was a promotion year for me, and I killed it. Got the promo, the highest performance rating, a 15% raise, and a 20% bonus.
Attempting to lateral between Big 4's to switch practice lines. Not sure how to explain why I don't just stay at my current firm and work with the group that does the type of work I'd like to do - truth is I briefly worked with them and loved the work but couldn't stand working with the team members at all. Is a sufficiently explained 'not a cultural fit' adequate here? Will they even care? I also doubt my practice line would approve the transfer since we're understaffed.
First job out of college so pardon my ignorance.. but are other jobs as high stakes as B4? Like the whole tier rating system, metrics tracking, snapshots.. I’m
The progression of a big 4 auditor: intern: what am I doing with this support? Staff: where can I find this support ? Senior: how do I fix this support manager: how do I cut this budget
I’m working for a big 4 and have a suggestion to encourage folks to return to the office. I find I’m more productive overall if I spend a few days a week in the actual home office. However…I don’t want to pay a couple hundred a month on parking. How about reimbursing parking? That would be a valuable perk…versus free bagels and garbage food.
Is there a big difference between MM and B4 WLB? I liked the people at the MM firm better, but don't if B4 means that much I could see myself staying.
Friends of fishbowl. Need advice on two very different offers I have: - ZS Consultant: 170k base, 20k signing. Will be joining Process Excellence and Transformation under the Business Operations Group - Deloitte Manager: 155k. Will be joining Strategy & Analytics and will focus on Financial Services Money aside, which is better for career growth, culture, experiences? Note that I already have 4 years of consulting experience at another big 4 so brand recognition is not important to me
Anyone knows what's the equivalent of the capital markets function of Accenture in the big 4? Would it be S&o for Deloitte? How about the rest?
For those who went from B4 to Baker Tilly in Philadelphia or Lancaster, what are the pros and cons that you noticed? Specifically curious about hours, clients/teams and resources.

What does it mean when the HM wants to talk to me again? Already had the first round interview with her, move me to 2nd interview and passed already.
Just heard back that I didn't get the job. Current job is so stressful and I was excited for the newjob. Also, feels rude that the junior recuiter told me instead of the hiring manager. I hadn't been looking when the recruiter called, but still hurts to get rejected. Trying to keep my chin up. I can make it through the downturn and do a proper job hunt when the time is right. In the meantime, any tips on performing when your heart isn't on it?
Hotel recommendations in LA where a young, active Aussie consultant can stop for a weekend of pampering and pretending she's not a peasant? I have a ton of Marriott points but fine to spend $ too.
How are parents keeping 5-6 yr old kids entertained. My kid is watching tv for 2-3 hrs each day and not at all participating in study. Kiddo is bored talking with classmates and friends, building legos and toys. Even school opens i doubt this age group really have patience to be on zoom calls. Looking for ways to keep kid busy other than digital media.

How difficult/easy would it be to go into MBB from a just outside M7 school, with 2-3 years of pre-MBA experience and strong performance at a smaller tier 2 firm? (Parthenon/S&/ATK/LEK/OW)

Had a low GPA in undergrad due to health issues. Also had to withdraw a class and retake it bc I was busy consulting surgeons to see if I needed surgery at the time. To what extent is it recommended to write about health issues in app additional info section to mitigate low GPA? What type of health issues should be specified vs. what types are seen as excuses? What amount of detail should one provide? Do schools ask for proof?
My flight from DCA-> TPA literally just had to abort takeoff to let a 12 year old boy deplane. Ready for a damn drink!
