Seems like the sleep apnea thing is very weird. If you have to sleep with a machine, that doesn’t affect your ability to have a life? What if you go camping or if the power goes out, etc.
It def does… I have it and i rarely ever feel well rested. Sleeping 8 hours feels like I slept for 3 like I closed my eyes at night and I woke up when it’s sunny. Funny story, I found out I had sleep apnea from my Uber driver. Cross country flight, we had small talk, I mentioned I don’t sleep well even in a plane, he probed on some other stuff and he got all serious and said bro I think you have sleep apnea bc I have it and that’s how I felt. Told me to get it checked out and yup he was right
Veterans already receiving disability for these conditions will not see their ratings downgraded by any changes, officials said.
"Veterans who currently receive compensation for a service-connected condition in these body systems will not have their disability rating impacted when the VA Schedule for Rating Disabilities is updated," Thomas Murphy, acting VA undersecretary for benefits, said in a press release.
^ Any appeal should be for one specific claim - meaning if they render a decision on another claim they should not revisit unless they were directly connected to each other.
About time. Everyone knows sleep apnea claims were the easiest way to get $ for decades. They should reevaluate everyone with a sleep apnea rating. A high percentage of them are fraudulent.
Maybe. But I was misdiagnosed as having no apnea despite years of my spouse telling me I stopped breathing constantly. Army sent me home with the machine to administer my own test, which was inconclusive. A year later, the VA in house sleep study properly diagnosed me.
It’s hard to fake if they insist on a proper study.
This is like saying you shouldn’t get compensated for losing a limb if you get a prosthetic. I was unable to tolerate a CPAP and needed UPPP surgery.
Hi All, Any idea about Honeywell Sparta Systems company. Got an offer for Automation Quality Analyst. Please share your experience. Honeywell @spartasystems
Speaking of which I need to appeal my sleep apnea denial. Ugh…

Wonder if all other disabilities are reevaluated once those grandfathered are appealed

0%? What if one can’t tolerate a CPAP? Ridiculous.
