Has anyone been successful in transitioning out of the practice of law into another type of career? Or know anyone that has? For context, I have been practicing for 10 years, currently work at an insurance defense firm. I don’t enjoy litigation, and would love to hear some ideas as to how this law degree can be put to use in other ways.

No one wants to give me a chance!!! I want to teach STEM, and my resume has all the STEM on it that I have done outside my classroom- overseas, summer school…and I am working on my masters in elementary education, science specialists. All they see is PREK. How can I ever get a chance to teach STeM if no one gives me a chance? Felling really discouraged.

Do firms recruit first years after people fail the bar? Are any hiring first years now? Or might they after February results?
