I think there is some manipulation or at least its not covering all data points. Items are dedinitely priced more than 2% higher from what I have seen

Inflation is a wide swath estimate. But even if your day to day is increasing it doesnt mean that is everyone's experience.

Yeah that’s why I’m curious, is this everyone’s experience? It’s not a perfect survey, but based on conversations I’ve had and seen, seems like many people are noticing that. It’s hard for me to name one thing I regularly buy that’s still the same price as before

Many companies who know they have a lot of demand raised prices because customers expected inflation, not necessarily because their costs rose. A grocery store might not be esarily raise prices if their costs didn't go up but best believe Starbucks will.

My interests for my future career are in audit/forensics. I’m not sure what other one to do. I’m heavy into individual big tech stocks. Up anywhere from 5-25% on each of the following:

Amazon
Microsoft
Google
Facebook

I’d like to start shaving off some profits or even sell entire positions at a profit. However, when looking at price targets and analyst ratings on Robinhood (which I know doesn’t mean it’s true), it seems to point towards higher share prices on all of them.
