I’ve spent years trying to find a task management system that didn’t make me feel bad about myself and all the things I wasn’t doing. So I decided to build my own. If opening your to do list gives you anxiety, I’d love your thoughts on Quatro.

I had my final round of SDE1 interview at @Dehaat 3 days ago, feedback came back positive and HR also had salary discussion. However just next day I got mail saying @Dehaat has temporarily frozen hiring process. Anyone working at Dehaat can tell me what is happening at @Dehaat currently? Was this mail just for me or the entire hiring process is actually on freeze.
4YOE @Amazon & trying to lateral to a similar role @FAANG. Have my undergrad GPA (3.8/4) on resume from top 15 school but colleague says to take it off (looks silly). If it’s a good school & high GPA, why ever take it off your resume? Even if 10 YOE...can’t hurt?
I am having 9.8 years experience as Mainframe developer, immediate joiner, could you please refer me if any suitable openings with your organization?
Hello all! I am currently a P&C Client Manager for the 15th largest broker in the US. When I joined my company, I was brought on as an assistant for a former employee who taught me everything I know about my role. I came with on no prior insurance experience but caught on quick. I am about 4 years in now, on a team with newer employees, working on the same accounts plus new ones. One assistant and one Senior Client Manager. (Continued in comments)
So finally managed to sell my AMC position after the single lonely hamster running the power on Schwab’s servers decided to start running his wheel again. Sold at $16.5, thinking about jumping back in again, anybody have any realistic expectations for what the top will be?
I soon start my first real lawyer job in a midsize boutique in major market. Job description said it is a litigation associate position to handle “complex insurance coverage disputes.” What would be my career options after 3-4 years? I know the question is very broad.. but which areas generally welcome coverage attorneys?
Corporate suggested me for a DON position in TX. I currently live in SD and work as ADON. Corporate said minimum salary would be 115k. Then flew me there for 2 weeks to see the building (nursing home). They all loved me, as does corporate. But my offer today was 90k. When I said I was told 115k they countered with 100k. I said I’d think about it over the weekend but really am looking for at least 110k. Have to sell my house and move and rebuy w higher interest rates. What do you think??
Hi Fishes, Would like to know if Accenture has stopped or slow down the hiring process as myself and some known colleagues are on NP (will end soon) but didn't receive a call from HR.
Any idea about this.
So, I've been thinking alot and did quite some research but would really love some insight (Accounting vs Fund Accountant)
As a newbie to accounting (completed my graduation and am currently halfway through ACCA), I've worked 3 years in accounting and account operations (AR, AP, Reconciliations, accruals, prepayments etc) and wanted to check out the other side of the coin in Finance.
I recently came across a role of Fund Accountant and wanted to really know what the day to day work looks like
I've been interviewing candidates to join my company.
Question for this bowl: is it normal for people NOT to send thank you memos as a follow-up after the interview? I thought it was basic interview etiquette. Am I old-fashioned?

Our company bought another and there was a integration in-person meeting last week. Many folks were invited to go. I was not. I lead analytics/reporting team.
Now, my team and I are getting projects stemming from this conference. I was not invited so didn't get to speak on what we can do. Now reporting is needed and data is not available.
First in-person meeting after 2+ years. Would have enjoyed facetime with peers. How do I share my frustrations with my manager who didn't invite me?
If you're teaching right now do you have a second job or did you? Most of the teachers I work with do. Trying to find something that I can do from home or after school to bring in some extra money, I've taken time off because of covid and I'm struggling to make ends meet this month with the holidays. Any advice would be great
McKinsey & Company Does MBB have a minimum GRE score they look at when recruiting MBA candidates (like 320+)? McKinsey & Company
I’m likely just gate keeping and this is dumb. But, I was talking to someone who had 0.25bps of carry and he repeatedly referred to himself as a partner and constantly talked about how he needed to work with his partners (I.e., other mid level people) For me, you’re only a partner if you actually own the management company/have a claim on the firms net income. I didn’t really say anything, but just thought this dude was precocious.
Do any moms have advice? It’s been a long time that I have been feeling unhappy….annoyed easily, waves of sadness, not feeling enough, low energy, and trouble sleeping among other things. I don’t have a diagnosis but I think I may be depressed. I just started seeing a therapist last week and since I started to have slight panic attacks? It was really scary, I was overcome with a sense of loneliness and I didn’t want to be in my head….I had to tell myself that I was okay and everything (cont.)

I’m mid-level in my HR career at my current company and an upcoming Master’s graduate. Studying for my SHRM-CP too. How did you make the transition to that next level? What skills do you need, or is it really just based on YOE (I am the youngest compared to my teammates, many who have 10+ YOE)? I feel like career pathing is not very clear at my company. Each time I ask for guidance on this from my manager, I get told they’ll look into it.... would love some external mentorship and thoughts 🙏🏼
My company went toxic in the last couple months. Chose me and started interviewing. Had a very successful interview with Amazon but recruiter is working hard trying to place me and said there’s no knowing how long to find a team. Meanwhile I just received a Director offer for a company with a 29% pay bump July 1. If Amazon or any other FAANG/large co gets back to me, is there an acceptable way to not burn bridges with new job and accept or delay start date with FAANG? Or fuck it just hop?
Resume question that I struggle to answer. If someone has been working for ~20 years and has worked at a number of companies during that time (let’s say 10 for the sake of this example), the resume becomes way too long. Is it okay to remove the 1st couple of jobs that were held after college even if relevant? Or maybe delete a job or 2 if they aren’t 100% relevant to the rest of the person’s career? Final option is to leave names of companies (and titles) of early roles but delete the content.
Hi all, I’ve recently onboarded as an HR recruiter with a small NGO. It has been wonderful so far. I want to make the most of my new role. If you have any suggestions or advise, I’d greatly appreciate it.

Changing from Vacation and Sick Time to just plain PTO starting in Jan. Staff can save up to 40hrs of their accrued Sick Time banks to use in 2022 in addition to their new PTO.
We have a part-time employee with more than 40 sick hours who will try to use as much of their Sick Time as they can before Jan 1. If this person has an avg weekly schedule of 17.5 hrs, can we stop them using sick time if their sick + work time will take them over their 17.5 scheduled hours?
Hi! I requested a raise in late august and am still waiting on confirmation. Last update was 3 weeks ago from my boss who said he put in the request and is still waiting on approval. I can’t help but think they’re just delaying until the new quarter which is the normal raise period. Is a month and a half a long time to be waiting for this? And if it is approved is it reasonable for me to ask for “backdated pay” to when I originally asked?
Anyone work in HR for Amazon? We have a new distribution center hiring some different HR positions and I’m curious about salary? Are you willing to share? I have bachelors in HR Management, SHRM-Cp, and 5 years exp

Work has been incredibly busy and stressful since COVID. Now with the riots and awareness of police brutality and racism increasing, DEI has become a prioity. I am happy about this but we do not have bandwidth. I am so overwhelmed as i have been tasked with leading the development, implementation, and evaluation of our agency wide dei program. Do I make the argument to leadership that now is just not the right time?

Hi everyone! I think I’m going to get a job offer for a TA Sourcer. Originally I said my salary expectations were 60-70k, I’m in the Midwest with 1.5 years of smaller volume sourcing experience. Is that a good number? Or is that too high? Too low?

If I have someone who is interested in early retirement at my company, outside of COBRA (which is only 18 months), what benefits are available for them. Are there Medical/prescription/dental/vision/etc. coverages individuals can opt into? What are the options? Low-high cost options please.
I’m a boomerang employee and a friend of mine noticed that my company posted a similar job description to mine on indeed 10 days ago. My boss didn’t tell me they were hiring another person in our department (small department - 4 people). Should I be worried? Should I bring it up to my boss? I’m really stressing myself out over it. For reference I would consider myself a top performing employee / everyone was very excited when I boomeranged. Not sure if I’m overthinking (I do that a lot).

I would wait a day or two and then follow up. It puts some space between the first time your name shows up in their system and the next. Don't wait too long, though; you want to show that you're genuinely interested in the position.
Yes, there's no need for you to send a message right away. Give them some time to review your application.
I would wait a couple days and then send it. Def think you are on the right track with the follow up though. It shows initiative.
Give it a couple days to a week.
