Getting everyone a gift card for dinner for 2 could be a nice option instead
Please no
Wow grumpy
How about sending everyone a nice bottle and gift card for dinner. Do a 30 zoom toast to the year and let everyone enjoy their dinner on their own (those who want to stay on and mingle can do so).
I am sick to death of virtual happy hours where there are 15 or more people. It's an absolute waste of time. They are either chaos or overly structured with ice breaker bs that I hate.
What if, instead, the partnership divided up the associates and staff and called them to deliver a personal thank you message over the phone and send a gift card. A personal thank you would likely be more meaningful than another virtual happy hour.
Lol. Little do partners know they can almost (but not really) skip our bonus if they pat us on the head and pay a genuine compliment once in a while. I like the idea of making all the partners think critically and come up with some genuine, well thought out positive feedback for each associate 😂
I think my firm is doing what they do every year, which is rent out a small restaurant for lunch. My firm is small though, 13 people total. I’m thinking of not going since I’m still not keen on dining out until the numbers go down in our area. I would rather do nothing than a virtual party.
Unfortunately probably a virtual happy hour, and they probably can’t do nothing. We would normally go to a restaurant and go out afterwards, but that will be impossible in NYC.
The Remo platform is actually pretty decent at simulating an in person party. You can move to different tables. A few bar associations have used it.
