As a new hire, how long did it take you to get a full plate of work? Meaning at least 7.5 billable hours per day.

I work in commercial real estate retail leasing. Current employer just increased base to $100k with avg. 20-35% bonus/commissions combined. Received offer to exclusively work for a tenant and help them open new locations. $115k base 10% bonus & also stock options. Remote work, lots of driving, similar job title. Its a VC funded startup & aggressively growing. I’ve never worked for a start up, so curious what everyone’s experiences are and any feedback would be super appreciated thank you!!

I’m moving out of the city that I’ve been in for the past 2 years. I have the option to move into a HCOL city with my friends or live at home with my parents in the suburbs. I know I’ll have way more fun & be happier with my friends in the city, but I’m going back to get my MBA in the fall of 2023 (already accepted) & can save >$40k if I live at home for a year and can use that for school. I’m 23 with no debt and $100k TC. Would love to hear some thoughts - is the extra $40k worth it?

If I roll my old employers 401k into an IRA this year, am I correct in thinking that what I contributed this year in that 401k still counts against my 401k contribution limit?

Would love advice. Partner and I are spending about 125k/yr total together (all in, incl rent, health, gifts, travel, etc). Mid 30s. No kids but will in next couple years. No debt. Total income between us of 350k. High cost of living/high taxes. So total we save about 80k/yr. What are some jobs you can do abroad to earn US money while living abroad? Haven’t reached FI yet but I always worry about running out of money after early retirement.

So pumped. My portfolio went up from $1000 to $1015 yesterday. So much gains. Maybe I’ll put another $1000 in. I’m not telling you any of my secrets.

I just had dinner with some old friends and they are about to retire early. Part of their plan is to downsize their home, get a small condo and travel for 9-10 months a year. Does this seem crazy? I just can’t imagine it. I guess they figured the cost would be about the same but wouldn’t you miss the relationships. Wouldn’t your kids feel lost without having a sense of home? Anyone thought about this?

What should I do for consevative strategy of investment. I invested in RE before and never had time and brush up my knowledge in stock other than puting to my 401k. Now my paychecks per month is $10k. I spend maybe $3k for expense and misc stuffs. What is the best way to put maybe $3k to work? Buying big giant stocks? Or just some funds? Or maybe I should just put all of them in to work? I never take that much of the risk. I have home equity for emergency fund. Thanks!
