Hi,
I am looking to learn more about the NPI program manager role at Apple. Specifically want to understand the following:
1. What's exactly the day to day beyond the fluff job post?
2. What skills will be considered critical to be successful in the role?
3. How is success defined in the role?
4. What does the career progression look like?
5. What background is considered desirable for this role? Can one get into this role without prior background in NPI?
Thanks in advance!

Hello ladies!! Who run the world?
This is a strong message

Ask for $185k base + signing bonus because that’s what you had decided you were worth and what you’ll be happy with. Or ask for $185k base, which is also fair.
No guarantees with options or what will happen down the road or what external factors might impact an increase in a year.
Good opportunity to learn a new craft in a new industry.
I think it’s worth negotiating. It would be very odd if they outright moved onto another candidate simply because you countered.
Depending on how it goes you can decide what you’re happy with.
It is a new industry. And there’s dividends to be paid out by having a diverse experience.
I hope it goes well and we can celebrate your VP role :-)
Thanks for the encouragement! They are not rushing to hire (next year start which works well for me) and said I was the one they want, but who knows - maybe they say that to all the candidates :) Totally hear you on no guarantees for future.
Is the fintech a BNPL? If yes, then lots of room to negotiate. If others, well, fintech seeing a lot of loss in the market. Sounds like a fair offer compared to larger bank VPs. I’d counter and see what they say.
Thanks! Fintech, more specially insurtech with high growth plans for future. This would be a new industry for me. Appreciate the advice, I'd like to counter just wondering how much to not lose out on the opportunity.
