Is Fundrise a promising risk-averse investment ? I’m seeing 8% YoY returns, but it’s unproven through a recession.
Any one else struggling with OneSource being slow as fuck and/or crashing when you try to validate? Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh
I am currently salaried at 45k a year and wondering if I am being overpaid or underpaid. I currently work as a human resource representative. I am the only rep for my company in all of tennessee and the branch I work at has around 800ish workers and only an hr specialist, hr rep (me), and a hr manager. All of the tasks that I cover are onboarding & off boarding, training & coaching, payroll, investigations, employee relations, disciplinary actions, and more. I only have 1 year experience in HR.
Is Applicantlab really useful for MBA preparation? I considered to try Applicantlab, however I'm worried if it doesn't worth.
Male POC here. This may be a personality thing but I’ve had a hard time being myself/collegial with people of authority at work. Outside of work I’m social and outgoing and by no means am I a shy or quiet person even at work so I’ve been able to with those who initiate it or reciprocate, but not often. I feel like maybe my “formality” makes them less likely to act openly with me. Anyone else face this and how do you overcome it?

Credit karma question - my credit scores for the past six months have had zero movement. I'm wondering if this is some sort of technical issue on their side. Anyone else facing this?
Should I use my bonus to pay off a CC (0% APR until July 2021) or save it until then due to market volatility? Does it make a difference either way? CC balance is about 6k and was used for moving expenses
I have about 100k of my previous company stock , holding them for 3 years now. They did not grow much like other stocks and it’s risky to have this much amount in individual stock. If I sell them today I would have to pay about 20k in taxes. What’s the recommended way for selling? Should I sell Thai year or next year?
When do you start saving for a house? I probably won’t get one for another 10 years, but I’m currently just putting all my money into retirement and any excess into a brokerage, assuming I can use the brokerage money for the home. Is that risky? Should I start putting money into a HYSA?
For those who convert your traditional IRA to a Roth IRA due to income restrictions…do you convert the balance monthly or keep the money set aside and deposit the whole 6k at one time
Last year I started a Roth IRA. However this year because of starting a new job I will be over the income limit and planned to do a backdoor Roth IRA. I also wanted to rollover my previous 401k funds into an IRA. Would the rollover funds be a part of the limit for the backdoor Roth? Should I open a separate Roth account for the rollover funds apart from the backdoor? I haven’t been able to find a clear answer online yet and would appreciate any insights!
Bought an investment property for short term rentals near Disney and the current owner wants to rent it back for possibly the entire summer. How much should I charge the owner? 3br/3ba condo.
Does anyone know anything about Dave Ramsey? It feels like a cult. My friends swear by him but I can’t figure out his logic. Like people that follow him insist you pay off a car loan at 1% interest before you invest anything.. or are completely anti credit card even if you use it for the points… what am I missing? It feels like the plan may be for lower income people who don’t manage money well but that may be completely ignorant of me?
Apologies for this but I’m really confused and looking for some help. My wife and I make about 400k pre-tax (gross income). We max our 401k. Is backdoor Roth an option for us? How should we go about it. Any tips would be super helpful as I’ve read through some prior posts but it isn’t still very clear to me. Thanks!!
General question: is there any certain “rule of thumb” post that you sell to take profiles? I’ve seen some experts (“”) say to always collect at 20% and others say until you see a reason to sell. Asking as rearranged last week and luckily got into the airlines before they exploded and now I’m sitting about 50% up on delta. And after selling Zoom way to early (used to buy my delta), I’m not sure whether to take the cash or let it ride more. This fast a rally makes me think it will plummet soon
I’m 24 and my bank account is still connected to my parents. They did this to give me their Chase Private Client perks. Is there any reason or advantage to keep it like this? I want to start my own
Not sure where else to post this. I’m trying to use my dependent care FSA for our nanny, who my wife has been paying. Just realized that her arrangement with the nanny is “under-the-table” which means the nanny does not pay taxes on the income. Can I still use my DC FSA funds?
