Put in PTO to recharge from a bad project. Manager threw me under the bus to SM claiming I didn’t provide her a coverage plan. Going into PTO feeling like shit.

Does anyone face problems with their immediate managers? I've butted heads with mine because of her tendency to load projects on me that I've never been involved in and have no idea how to manage, not attending meetings, not giving guidance. Now she is implying that I should probably start looking for other jobs because I don't fit in with the firm's culture. Is this a normal occurrence at the Big 4?

Any recommendations on how to mentally check-in in the morning? Doesn't seem to matter what I do. I get enough sleep, work out in the morning a couple times a week, manage my caffeine intake (a cup of coffee still only helps a little), and have a basic morning routine I follow. I'm not a morning person, but can fake it when I'm with people. When I don't have to interact with people (calls) I'm easily distracted and have a hard time focusing in on anything.

Cisco CTC - 16.2LPA , Fixed - 15.1LPA - Cisco TAC role.

Verizon data services llc - CTC 18LPA , Fixed - 16.1LPA

YOE - 6.5 Years
CCTC - 7.2 LPA
Tech - Networking and Security

Conflicted between both as I believe Cisco has a better brand value and great company to work for. But the offer from Verizon is competitive.

Is it a good idea to renegotiate with Cisco based on current offer from Verizon. Please share your thoughts.
