If you are called overqualified while interviewing for a position, does this immediately mean that you won't be considered at all? Is this a bad thing?

I go by a different name as to what my legal name is. My client has set me up with my legal name. While some people on the client call me by the name (fine by me), I have teammates that will call me by my legal name even though I have corrected them a few times. Mainly I go with the flow and don’t care but I find it kinda weird that even some of my teammates will keep calling me by legal name. Any thoughts to this or am I just overreacting?
