Cause we’re not part of the next U.S. News & World Report rankings? Please 🙄
Still the only school if you want to study in NYC 🤷♂️

M2 Nah I'm pretty sure D2 is right -- it's the only school in NYC, thanks D2 🙏

?
lol. College degrees are getting more and more less useful. In certain fields it’s good to have prestigious degrees from top tier schools, but the way things are evolving, there are people doing all sorts of side jobs / hustles / starting new businesses that are making way more money than soem people working a good corporate job.

Or less and less useful?
Rising Star
Absurd thing to say.
Guy from Columbia wrote a paper concluding their rise from #18 to #2 overall was based on "illusion." Linking a blog post talking about the paper. Haven't read the original cause I don't care about Columbia's future nearly enough to spend an hour in academic reading.
My own op ed about consequences...
The only resumes I'd treat differently because of this are the admin's. Alums still attended a place I've heard of, so good enough credibility there. That said, if the uni goes enough years unranked, "everyone's heard of Columbia" will turn into "a lot have heard of Columbia." For sure will lower the brand value.
