Did you just apply cold with no referral / weren’t recruited at all? If so I’d say there’s basically a 0% chance they get back to you let alone hire you unless your CV is otherworldly (in which case there’s no need to work in consulting)

Yah I know...rookie error- applied without a referral although I applied without a referral to Bain and proceeding ok with that application (at least past the CV screening and onto round 1).

They don’t always respond to cold applications in my experience

Should add: wrote to recruiting team just the once to follow up and no reply for last one week. They must be inundated with applications or I've submitted the worst application in history and I'm not even worth the time it takes to write a rejection. 😝

Thanks BCG 2- any idea of what the status is for London by any chance?

Get 100k+ cold applications. Essentially a dead end. Figure out what office you want, find someone (C/PL) on LinkedIn with similar background or interests, get in touch that way asking for guidance/perspective. If they like you enough they will pass you around the office and flag you to recruiting. I’ve personally gotten a few people interviews that reached out to me via LinkedIn.

Be patient, it is taking companies longer to process things.

Ok! The wait is killing me but I guess you're right.

I’ve never understood the “COVID was cooked up cause this is an election year” argument. I am a conservative but people who think the left cooked this up for an election are way off. I’d say this lockdown is only benefiting Trump because Biden is quiet as a church mouse and people most likely trust Trump to bring the economy back.

Do any of your companies offer Fitness programs to keep fit and healthy that all employees have access to? This would be a standalone program from the benefit carriers programs. Maybe offering employees an allotment of $ toward in-home gym equipment or online classes? Any ideas? Thanks for your help!

NYC Area — anyone know of any virtual volunteer opportunities relevant to education and/or mentoring? Although things are at a standstill, I’d still like to network and learn of ways to invest my extra time. I’m also open to opportunities that will continue post COVID. I’ve checked out Big Brothers Big Sisters of NYC, and other large organizations, but I know there have to be more out there...
