Feels dude. I had an final round interviews that went really well two Tuesdays ago. They told me to expect something Friday. Then that Friday came and they said “everyone had positive feedback but due to YE close and 10k filing we can’t provide any additional information at this time, expect to hear from us two Friday’s from now”. I’ve been in suspense ever since.

I feel you. I had my interviews right before holiday breaks in December so I waited for 2 weeks to hear from them. Plus, I was told that I was one of the finalists so I had no idea what to expect. Then, a week later, I finally got the offer! It was such a long month. I am relieved now that I will start my new job soon. Good luck 👍

How do people get on-site jobs while staying in India? I’m into business consulting-risk advisory-financial services & I have tried my heart out in applying everywhere (LinkedIn, indeed, company website) but no luck yet. It’s been my dream since when I was 8 to move abroad to gain global experience and earn decent money, I guess there’s no luck or a way for me. Trust me, I’ve tried everything since past 3 years, how do people get it?

So I recently started a position with Fox. When it was presented to me in interview, I was told I would be working aligned with Fox Sports & Entertainment, not so much News. Now that I’m here, I’m seeing everything I’ll be doing is with the News team & makes me uncomfortable. No diversity, outdated software & process.
Financially, it’s the best position I been in. But mentally in this environment, it’s depressing & slow. Nothing innovative or engaging. What would you do?

Product Design Engineer, interviewing at Apple (Cupertino) and at Meta (Seattle/Redmond). Not at the offer stage yet, but I'm contemplating where I would relocate with family.
No idea about team/culture/stability differences yet.

The non-work factors I'm debating are:
1. Cost-of-living (housing!). Could probably afford a nice ~$1.25M SFH in Seattle suburbs sooner than a fair $1.5-2M near Cupertino.
2. Public School quality. Unsure private will be affordable.
3. Weather/region: activities

Both of these questions come up almost on a daily basis, we should have a centralized thread to help each other out. :)

All, this is my first post and I just want to share that I passed the first Amazon interview for Technical Program Manager and am heading to on-site virtual interviews! I have 20 years of corporate tech in a traditional F500 company (top 50). The only thing I can say that I like about my current job is the work-life balance and some of the people. But the work itself is soul crushing and the industry is stagnant. To those who are 40+ years old, is it crazy to change now?

Hello,
I am in my late 20s currently in a career transition from teaching to consultancy. I am interested in consultancy jobs within the international development industry that would also allow me to travel. However, I do not have any relevant experience. I speak French and have a background in business and Political Science.
Any advice on how to break into the field with no experience?
Thanks in advance!
