Is it normal to get a ‘developing’ rating on an engagement as a new senior? This last tax season I helped and took ownership of a few engagements. I prepared the returns with very little help from my superiors, communicated issues ahead of time, and delivered in a timely manner. I was told I did a good job but the fact that I got a developing rating makes me feel a bit disappointed to be honest.
