Did you write this just to convince yourself? What does your discretionary income look like? Do you have a # in mind in terms of for much you’d be willing to spend? i.e. - I have $4500 of discretionary income each month. My current car pmt is $300 and I wouldn’t spend more than $500/mo on a car.

Save up and buy in cash. You make enough money to decide whatever car you want and save up to pay for it all at once. You mentioned a Porsche somewhere in this post, so if you’re looking to buy a 911 for example, it won’t take you too long to pull together $150k and splurge on a nice model with whatever customizations you want.

Don’t think so. Why should they pay interest on this purchase, when instead they could keep the cash on hand until they can afford the car? They don’t need the car this week, it’s a completely discretionary purchase.

Go all in. No better investment than a nice car.

I started working in a agency two months ago, and I have two very big projects running simultaneously. My Creative Director left for paternity leave, and left me with all the work, facing the client, going to shootings, editing. I've been working 15 days straight, no weekends. The agency hasn't given me any back up/someone I can team up with to do the job. Is this normal? I'm used to have a partner, a copywriter or another creative working alongside. Keep in mind that I'm mid-level.

Need some advice! I'm a recent PhD grad (30 yo) in STEM, and just got some offers from different companies. Particularly, two of them are interesting to me. 1) from a Energy Market Company in Pennsylvania as an Operations Research Scientist, 95k + 15% bonus + very good benefits and generous PTO. It's a very chill job (9-5) with good people but limited opportunity to growth. 2) from a consulting company in NYC as a data science consultant, 130k + 10k signing bonus. Which one you choose? why?
