Well ladies today I turn 30 I keep getting emotional not because I’m getting older but I’m just so grateful for people and experiences I had in my 20s. I’m also someone who stressed a lot about work and my career in my 20s. Now I still want to do a good job, but I don’t care as much. Did you have any realization when you hit 30? :)

I am 37, no kids & this year I found out my ovaries are very cystic but I am not diagnosed with PCOS due to my hormones being in normal range. To manage pain and abnormal bleeding, she put me back on birth control pills. One month in and I can tell how much my tolerance level is much shorter. I don’t like feeling like this. Any suggestions to work with my obgyn to help either switch to another pill or look for a non-hormonal solution?

Need to settle something. I woke up on Saturday morning to four missed calls at 330AM from my older sister. No texts or other context. I was immediately concerned so called/texted her back and no response. I was seeing my parents that morning so asked them if they had heard from her and they said no why, so I told them the situation. My sister finally gets in touch with me later in the morning and when I asked what happened she said “don’t worry about it.” I feel like I was owed a response…cont.

I’ve been with my boyfriend for a year and a half. We are serious but not living together yet. We are planning to move in together fall 2022 (due to leases). Lately when we drink, he brings up getting married. I played along at first but have since told him this conversation makes me really uncomfortable, especially when one or both of us is drunk. I’m just not ready to get engaged yet. Is it unusual that I think a year and a half is too soon?

My little sister got engaged today. She’s so in love and she truly found her soulmate. I’m so happy for her but I can’t help but feel bad for me. She’s always been an over achiever and has always “beat” me in everything (job, looks, love, social life etc). She and her fiancé are moving into a nice new condo in an amazing city while I’m single and stuck with my parents because I got laid off during Covid.
