If you’re sure you want to go back, and your firm is boomerang friendly, no reason to wait. At Deloitte I’ve seen boomerangs in 2-3 weeks.
That’s pretty short amount of time, are you sure you don’t want to give it some more time? You left for a reason in the first place and may not have gotten the full experience yet at your new firm.
Literally doing this right now at 3 months. Definitely really early imo - I think a year is a good time to experience the new firm, but I’m very confident about where I want my career and that’s with my last practice (niche speciality). Just make sure you’re absolutely sure that you want to go back, remind yourself why you left in the first place, and ask if you’ve exhausted all options at the new place. While my last firm is open arms in taking me back (actually at a higher level), I know I’m risking burned bridges with my new firm. Good luck!
I believe you’re not eligible for a salary bump if you go back in under a year
No. Boomerang.
Thank you everyone!
