Why not just take a normal ski lesson with other people?

like

I agree with M1, TLC and $ have an inverse correlation. Get the basics taught as cheap as possible, then spend the savings on actually skiing (and learn the finer points and execution through experience)

Never take lessons at the big resorts - the cost is astronomical

Post on Craigslist there - bet an instructor will do it for way less off the clock

Just do normal group lesson it’s not actually in a group. I took a lesson at deer valley and they spilt us into groups of 2. So entire time it was just me and one other person. Cost was under $400.

Got a bit too drunk at a work happy hour. Nothing embarrassing happened but I definitely blacked out and could’ve said stuff that I wouldn’t have said sober. Everyone else was also drinking quite a bit, so it was fine but not ideal and I’ve just been ashamed. Lesson learned. This happen to anyone? How do you get over the shame/anxiety of “what happened?”

QQ for any TTP users: what would you recommend as the most accelerated use of the portal? I have my GMAT in about 10 days. I've had access for half a month and I'm through ~20% problems. I've only targeted sections where I felt I needed the most improvement mainly focusing on chapter tests. If I haven't met the accuracy needed, I've then spent time on the lessons and usually hit the accuracy after. For additional context, aiming for Q47+. I was on a Q45 on a Veritas mock last week.

Thought I'd share this for inspiration. I was eating right and working out for the past few weeks and my weight on the scale was not budging which in turn was demotivating me. Yesterday was my first rest day and cheat day. I also slept a full 8 hrs. This morning I stepped on the scale and voila! Down 6 lbs. This has motivated me to keep pushing. Another 15 lbs to my target. lesson learned - Trust the process!

Currently an A3 in audit. My team communicated to me that they’re pushing for me to get mid-year promo (Jan 2022) but I’m also interested in leaving to another Big 4 for AAS as an S1. Current salary is $73.6k and am unsure of how much I should be going for to make the jump worth it. I know EY FAAS offered a friend $85k in my market but assuming I get mid year promo I’m not so sure the salary bump would be significant enough. How much room for negotiation is there with Big 4 experienced hires?

I had a 1st round interview last week and I didn’t love the sound of the job. It’s in higher ed. It would also be a 20k pay cut (105 -> 85). They want to do a final round with me this week. During the interview, the director who would be my manager said they are understaffed and very busy. She also said someone in this role needs to love working. I don’t necessarily want to transition to another busy place for a pay cut. The only perk I see is the time off university staff get and tuition...comt

I know this sounds ridiculous but I’m pretty self conscious about the fact that I’ve already been in 5 different agencies (no fault of my own.
