Want to start running again. When I was consistently running halfs before, I used to have a Polar to track my distance/speed. Now I have an Apple Watch. Should I just use that, or do you recommend something tailored for running like a Garmin, etc?

Forerunner are the running specific Garmins, but honestly use your Apple Watch for a bit and make sure running becomes a long term habit again before dropping hundreds on a watch that will do a marginally better job tracking.

Does anyone actually wake up refreshed and if so can you share your secrets? It doesn’t matter how much or how little sleep I get I wake up feeling like I got hit by a train. I run 3-4x per week and have lost ~20lbs in the past few months so I should be getting enough vitamin D and have a healthy diet. Don’t drink coffee or other caffeine (unless herbal tea on occasion counts). I wear an eye mask to block out light. Tried melatonin but it gave me nightmares. I feel like I’m losing hope on sleep

Has anyone experienced extreme bloating? Sometimes when I drink my protein shake, I feel extremely bloated. Sometimes when I go to a restaurant, I get bloated to the point I can’t even walk. I’m not sure if I’m overeating or something changed.
I mostly eat very clean and am fully vegan so don’t consume any animal products.
I don’t want to stop consuming food when I go out but am considering stopping protein shakes as they make me feel terrible
