Want to try to get into plaintiff side employment law. My civil experience is limited to plaintiff side commercial litigation(federal). I also have prior prosecutorial experience. (Cont)

How difficult will it be for me to do employment litigation considering I don’t have any employment litigation specific experience? Will the fact I have pretty significant federal litigation experience help!

The quality of plaintiff’s employment law firms varies from state to state and jurisdiction to jurisdiction. The federal court litigation will give you a foundation that many who went straight to employee-side representation lack. Would recommend studying up on the key federal and state statutes that are litigated in your state and meeting with a plaintiff’s side attorney for coffee to find out how to break into the area and be successful.

Sound advice.

Practical experience in court will deff translate well to practice of employment law

What is the process of background verification in EY GDS?
1.BGV is conducted by first advantage and they have asked information only for last employment and not for all of my previous employment.

3. They do background verification from only last two employers or all the employers?

Just cleared conflicts for a big law firm so I can officially leave my toxic mid-size insurance defense firm. I’m planning to give notice Friday, but should I get the start date first? The recruiter said they’d like me to start 11/15. And I seriously want to give notice soooooo bad. I’m so excited to leave that I literally cannot think straight 😂

Bought a car today. Finance Manager tried to get me to sign the Bill of Sale without reviewing the carfax report, despite it being mandated by the Motor Vehicle Dealers Act. She ultimately gave it to me after I insisted and contrary to her initial assurance, when I looked at it myself, the car had an open recall. Do I raise the concern with OMVIC (vehicle sales regulator) or am I just pissed off and should forget it?
