Wanted an internal transfer to audit, instead got a tax rotation to stay in tax. What should I do? Do the rotation and keep trying for the internal transfer? or leave for another firm?

I started a new job in November and I hate it. Should I include my current role on my resume or say I am still currently at my previous company? I've applied a few places and haven't heard anything back with my current role I'm trying to leave on my resume.

Wondering what are the main differences between going on a secondment for a couple of years to work in a different country, vs. quiting and applying for a role with the specific firm. I feel it’s safer to wait until the background check gets cleared before I put the notice to my current employer. Will Deloitte notify you the results of background checks? It’s been a month since offer acceptance and haven’t heard anything about background check results yet.

My entire team (I’m Senior with most tenure) is terrified of our Manager, who is confrontational, rude, and stand-offish. Everyone including the other seniors on my engagement are scared to talk to this manager and you can hear in their voice they’re nervous. Funny thing is is once the partner gets on the phone the manager is the nicest most bubbly person in the firm! So two-faced.

Bit of background: I recently turned 25, have been an auditor now for 4 years (same firm from intern to staff to senior), and have given my firm and my clients 110% of me at all times.
Lately, I’ve been wanting to quit altogether (burning out) and try out a career that has always been more of a “dream”. I can’t be the only one feeling this way so I’m reaching out to my people - is this just a weird quarter-life crisis or is it actually valid & reasonable?

Is financial due diligence a good area to transfer to from audit? If the end goal is to be better at financial deal evaluations and financial decisions?
