Does anyone else feel like they haven’t developed any truly transferable skills? I’m a manager in our Internal Audit practice and I think this idea keeps me from exploring other options.

Went from IT Audit -> Analyst. 58k to 150k. 2018->2021. I wouldn’t do a masters unless you absolutely feel like you need it. There are so many online resources to help you. Don’t try and jump to big tech company first. Get your feet wet and some random company and get the basic analytics and programming fundamentals down then move after a year or so.

I did it everyone. Accepted a new job this past week. Salary is 30% higher and if you factor in bonuses between PA and new job, in total it would by like 45% higher than staying at EY. Weird feeling knowing I don’t have a busy season coming up.
