How will we know when it’s safe to switch jobs post pandemic?

Hey friends happy Friday. If So far I have done everything but dev within the software product cycle; and I now want to enter the area of PM. With 22 yrs in the industry - how do I best position my never been a PM before? AND I feel I have been at the other end of the role’s dependencies - so I feel a PM role would bring all of my experience together. I doubt I should apply for a junior PM; how i best position myself here?

I have almost one year of experience in Tech Support in a renowned MNC then moved to another MNC as fresher and has been system engineer for two years. I have automation testing skills but worked in manual testing.

Can someone suggest a right path for growth?

Apart from automation testing as suggestion what else (certifications or any as such) could help my growth for either salary or promotion?

And also please advice me what are the possibilities for me to change company?

Thinking of going freelance in a few months because I have gone 3 years without a raise and my work-life balance is awful. I’m not in a big ad agency market, so there are only a small number of places I could go to if I decide freelance is not for me and want to go back to agency life. I’m a 5th yr considering lateraling from a V30 to a V100 to increase chances at partnership. The v100 makes a fair amount of partners in my practice and I would assess my chances at making equity partner there to be relatively good for BL. At the V30 equity partnership odds seem much lower, but my reviews have been good. The V30 has >$2mm per year higher PPP, higher chambers ranking and better exit ops generally.

Any advice as to how to decide on the offer? What else should I consider?

MBB/ Big4 seem to use written case interviews lately. They give you a brief and an hour or so for preparation. You then present your case and provide recommendations. Anyone have samples for me?
