Yup many others in that position. Here you will hear disdain but these parents made sacrifices to make sure their children’s lives are upleveled so can’t ignore them
I’m saying if I made the struggle and the many sacrifices that some of these parents make, I would also hope that they would give something back, within reason.
Still up to the kids obviously. No one can decide for them
I’m assuming when the parents pass away, you will inherit their homes, since you’re paying the mortgage? So really you’re building assets through them. A sort of forced financial discipline if you will. Most non-immigrant parents will also not hesitate to use reverse annuities instead of trying to leave the family for kids. So it all balances out I think. There is nothing wrong with either approach.
